As long as we focus on an outside connection to bring us happiness there will always be an empty, hungry, lost place inside that needs to be filled. The source of love and joy is already within me. Connecting with that source you will never truly feel alone, and you can connect with your inside by reading a book, join a book club, walk in nature, do yoga, meditate, listen to your heart and intuition, pray or make amazingly wonderful brewed coffees for others. It is all about connecting with your inner soul and with other souls~soul connections! But remember all you need is within you. Keep it simple, but keep going until your find your inner light, the world needs to feel and see your light so please share your illuminated self with others.
Are you secure in your own skin? Does your body feel like home? Do you listen to your body's intuition? Can you handle any hardships that the world is presenting to you? Do you listen to your deepest needs and then follow up with self-care? Then you have mastered to live comfortably in your own skin and you are able to handle the struggles around you without freaking out. Home will always be with you — it is where the heart is. Find your tribe and vibe the shit out of what is called life, because life can be hard. Pay it forward and don't forget to love it forward to others. Helping others is really the only way to find what you are looking for.
"Emotional intelligence is widely recognized as a valuable skill that helps improve communication, management, problem-solving, and relationships within the workplace. It is also a skill that researchers believe can be improved with training and practice."
But I think a combination of IQ and EQ are necessary in order to manage a large team. The best managers I have had are those who are working for the team and not there to be valued as a great manager from others. Being a straight forward leader will increase less confusion on what the leader wants from the team. If the leader wants to be adored by others then the person may not be able to meet the necessary work criteria and deadlines.
On the other hand as I am reading some articles, I agree to the most valuable characteristic is self-awareness. Are you a person who always complains about everything and as a result you all of a sudden does not have many colleagues coming to chat? Do you feel excluded? You can change your vibe if you are willing to change. If you take some inventory on your personality and what energy you bring to a room you may be able to change your attitude and therefore people may be more open to have a coffee chat again.
People say take that leap of faith, go out on a limb and fly, but what if that does not sit well, if it doesn't feel right deep, deep down in your soul, than that is not your path at this time. When you are ready to take that leap of faith there is no second guessing, fear thoughts or anxiety. When you are ready, you will feel that confidence in your heart and in your stomach because you are being guided to go down that path. You are being shown by a higher power to take that risk and there is no need to push that hard forward.
When you are ready, there will be a flow and you will feel that knock on your shoulder that it is time to move on. But you have to prepare for this, which means that you do have to take steps, take risks, do the work, read those books, being vulnerable and raw, accept your insecurities, take a look at what holds you back, unleash your perfectionism, research and work hard. That is how you prepare for the bigger life changing decisions!
PTSD is more common than we think and it can be extremely hard on the person who has it. I heard about this technique and I am curious if it is working for people. Send me a message if you have any knowledge about TRE. Here is a youtube video explaining it:
When you focus on love everything will be love. Or at least more romantic and grounded in loving feelings. Love is giving. Love is sharing. Love is extending oneself to another. We are all one and not separated. Let your day be filled with love for yourself, and love will pour through you for others. It will remember who you are, and allow you to be the conduit for healings and miracles. Happy thanksgiving!
When it rain it pours in a good way right now. Busy can be really good, I get stuff done and I don't have time to analyze paralyze. Time to rise and keep on moving!
My true passion is to help people find purpose and satisfaction in life, which is why my role as a career coach fits so well. I love to see people start shedding unnecessary garbage from their energy field and start striving to find inner peace. I would call myself an inner peace coach if it didn't sound so corny? I have worked very hard for over 20 years to find my inner peace and I want to pay my insights forward to others but in a shorter amount of time. I know what worked for me and I want to show others how they can do the same thing! Of course I have to tailor the plan specifically to the person's needs as each person has different wants/needs and what worked for me may not work for you. But, let's talk about finding a career that will fill you up and make you feel that you are contributing to something bigger than yourself because that is where you can find happiness!
I have been working in the vocational/employment profession for over 10 years and facilitated groups for over 20 years. I love my job as a career coach as I am able to help others find a job that they are actually satisfied with and I have helped 100's of people finding work. Finding your purpose is the best ingredient for a happy life but you have to take action steps to get there and that is where I come in and guide you.
We start with various tools where you will explore different career options based on your unique skills and personality. The more specific you answer the career assessments the better results and you may be surprised how many jobs you will resonate with. We will do some mind mapping with the different occupational goals so we can find the 'juicy' jobs that will make you excited to explore! After that we will create a specific action plan how to get to the job you desire including training options, informational interviews, seeing the advisor at the college/university to collect relevant information, application process and requirements, upgrading if necessary etc. After all of this has been gathered you will decide if this is what you want to do and then we will implement this plan. After the training is completed, we can do a job search action plan to get you the job you want as soon as possible.
I am a believer of tough love, not in the way that you physically hurt somebody else but in the way of giving feedback. If I see something in my family or friends that is not working for their best, I take the time to tell them what I see (not always welcomed and may take a day or so for the person to get back to me to discuss further). This requires a strong back bone and the possibilities of not being liked by the person receiving the feedback. But guess what! it is so worth taking this risk because I am sure you want to see your friends or family members to feel better in every day life. Giving and receiving feedback is the way to make the open window larger in the Johari window (see below). Using the Johari window and asking for feedback from others has really helped me understanding my strengths and weaknesses as well as how I work consciously and unconsciously.
Johari window is a psychological tool created by Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham in 1955. It entails giving and receiving feedback in order to develop self-awareness, improving communication, building better relationships, personal development and becoming a better team member.
I tried Causebox a while ago and of course most items in the box are still in the box. I did not use most of it but I love getting the box, opening the box as it feels like I am treating myself and that feels good. But.....there is always my practical side talking to me, reminding me that I will not use most of the stuff in the box and I hate clutter so I don't need more....stuff. So here I am contemplating another box because it is fun to open it. Maybe I just need the box JT is singing about lol.
