Flow! Make sure you move that stagnant energy inside of your body and in your environment. Purge your closet and organize it, throw out old cards and use the ones you want as a collage that you can put up on a wall, then you will be reminded of the people you love and their beautiful writing and message. I created a piece of art (not finished yet) that I will hang up in my office as a great positive reminder of my loved ones and appreciation from others.
Surround yourself with flowers and plants, they exude awesome energy and make any room full of life! Some plants can really keep your space clean and fresh, snake plants cleans air better than most other indoor plants as it has the ability to absorb excessive amounts of carbon monoxide. I have a few at home and they look stunning, but I am surprised I agree with having snakes inside :P! This is my bedroom snake plant which will be re-potted into two other planters. They have been growing so fast.
“Follow your bliss.
If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living
is the one you are living.
When you can see that,
you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid,
and doors will open
where you didn't know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else.”
- Joseph Campbell
"Each personality draws to itself personalities with the consciousness of like frequency, or like weakness. Therefore, the world of an angry person is filled with angry people, the world of a greedy person is filled with greedy people, and a loving person lives in a world of loving people." - Gary Zukav. Most of my friends have the same values as me but I am not sure I agree with this when it comes to choosing my life partner. And I see many friends choosing the opposite energy of themselves and I think we do that to learn a lot of lessons in this life.
We have all heard that opposite attracts and I see myself most of the time attracting the opposite energy and I can see a reason for that. I can handle my buddies having the same values and characteristics as myself but it would be hard to live with a life partner with similar characteristics as myself as it would be very boring and nothing new would be introduced into my life. It's almost like I would order the same dish at a restaurant which would be a recipe for a dull lifestyle. But at the same time, I would need to be with somebody who has similar attachment style as myself, and I have an avoidant with secure attachment style which means I would not be attracted to a man who is needy or have an anxious attachment style. I also go for extremely independent dogs lol, which says a lot. I am a very positive person and I am not surprised that I am attracted to negative guys to a certain extent, however, if their negativity will wear me down I would be out. But when you understand your differences and able to talk about them you will live a happy life. PS my latest art work....trippy lol!
“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot
learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitude, he is a slave; he has forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free.”-Leo Buscaglia
When you take a risk 'everything is gonna be alright'. You will be totally fine because we are waiting for you to step into the light of your awesomeness!
I have felt stuck with my art process for a couple of weeks. I have not been able to hit my expected artsy target and I have not been happy with my outcome. So what do you do! You try a different technique and voila, I am back feeling all inspired and stuff!! <3 . Good metaphor for life, if one thing does not work out, try something different!
My mind: criticism, unsure, low self-worth thoughts, criticism, criticism and criticism. Habitual negative thoughts are sipping into my brain... Mostly because I am not happy with some things in my life, maybe I have experienced the same sad thoughts many times and I am used to them, maybe I like the abuse from myself, maybe I do not know better at this time! Suffering is part of life and we have to learn and be open to the lessons and its messages in order to get to that inner peace stuff. But it sucks! To constant hearing the irritating gremlin in my brain and the only way to calm the gremlin for me is to be active and let stuff go. Letting things go has been the best technical tool I have in my tool box and it has helped me to move on faster from my gremlin than anything else. You drop the negative thought in the same way you drop a hot potatoe that is burning your hand. It is that easy, but it requires patience and practicing before you can do an instant drop of your critical thought patterns. I teach this in my programs and one on one coaching sessions. Contact me if you are interested in learning more :). Looking forward to chat with you!
Each and everyday combined becomes an eternity. That is why it is important to experience new things, going to new places to find inspiration. Then you will bring that inspiration and share it with other people you are meeting who in turn will go about life and share their positive energy with friends and family. And don't forget to see the potential outcome doing new things, that is why you should just do and act on your inspired feelings (not that I am shoulding on anyone ;). Listen to the whispers in life. Being and feeling inspired is probably the best feeling in the world because you think you can do anything and be anybody. Powerful stuff.
We think we may have time but time is flying by the older we get and I rather do than think about things I want to do (within reason of course). I know, same old is nice and you know what you gonna get but it will not expand your horizon to live a fuller life. Not for everyone, but I like change and I embrace it. And if I think toooooo long on what I want to do that will be what I end up doing....thinking about it. "You don't get into something to test the waters, you go into things to make waves".
How do you deal with stress? I tackle the largest and most important tasks in the morning as soon as I sit down in my office. I have an hour to tackle the things I have to accomplish before the phone turns on and meetings are scheduled. And because I have that extra time in the morning does not mean that I should read the news and float, it's better to put the hard working apron on and go to work. I don't do check lists but if you are a list person by all means write down each goal and check them off when they are completed. Having a visual can keep you motivated to complete the tasks at hand.
We have all heard and read what is supposed to be yours, will be yours in due time.
There are so many sayings that mirror this belief to put faith in the unseen. What’s meant for you won’t pass you by. If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. We don’t have to hurry or worry, things are happening in their own time. And of course, it feels good to hear and to think that we will get our way sooner or later.
Sometimes the path seems long towards our desires. It may look dark and feel impossible. Maybe we need to get out of our own way and have some faith. We’re constantly being asked to trust that things will work out.
Could it be that there’s no such thing as wrong timing? Everything that comes to you is meant to and what stays is what is meant to. It all requires a lot of faith and patience to believe this. It’s a beautiful concept to think that there are some things written in stone and in choosing our fate we follow the path of our individual destiny. All of which can be true at the same time be a bunch of fluff. You decide what to believe.
If our hearts are small, the smallest incidents from others can enrage us. If we expand our hearts, we are capable of treating others with compassion and empathy. But I have to be careful not to be taken advantage of because of how easy I can forgive others for their mistakes, I have to make sure my self-respect is intact despite the fact that I can see the bigger picture of why people are failing.
In addition, happiness can't be attained by fulfilling superficial desires. Happiness can be attained by being mindful. Take walking and breathing. If you focus your attention on every single movement of your body and forget your eventual destination and the reason you’re trying to get there, you’ll begin to understand what happiness is. Same with noticing your breathing. When you focus on your breath your heart rate will slow down immediately. And give yourself caring kindness with each breath you are taking, there does not have to be a reason why you are sending yourself caring kindness, just do it. Mindfulness is about experiencing and appreciating the present moment. When we’re attentive to the present, we begin to notice how much beauty there is in the world. We can appreciate the joys of something as simple as a blossoming flower or a bumble bee.
